This assignment was mostly about kicking the rust off my Maya skills but more importantly it was about: learning about the new additions to the interface (the version I've been using before now has been woefully out of date) how to properly utilize the Arnold Renderer to elevate my shots to a more professional level, and basic tricks to increase the speed of my workflow. I think the results speak for themselves, I'm pretty fond of this shot even if it's simple. The colors added by the HDRI I used play nicely with the soft warm grey color I chose for the material creating a very balanced look overall.
