Common Art Week 10 - Analyzing an Art Style Guide

 

I was tasked with dissecting the animation style and iconography of the Pokemon Lets Go titles. Both clearly have Pikachu and Eevee as the 'hero' characters so the focus on the more cinematic creature animations are on them while the human characters take a back seat. All the pokemon tend to have more of a focus on animation than the humans however.

The iconography is focused on bold recognizable shapes both to guide the player and push the appeal.
